God's promise and direction for Abraham's entire life was wrapped up in the birth of his only child with Sarah. Once Isaac arrived, God asked the unthinkable from him. His story reverberates in the Gospel story, and reminds us that faith over fear can be tested in ways we never imagined. But our willingness to let go of all other things in life to embrace our faith in the Lord will bring peace that's unexpected.
