The Early Church exploded in growth at the Day of Pentecost and continued to grow as they continued to tell others about Jesus. Their constant witness in the temple drew the kind of attention that brought persecution. The prayer they prayed after the arrest of Peter and John was a dangerous prayer that we would do well to adopt in the modern church.
